Paul G. Doeg, President and COO
Paul G. Doeg joined RH Perry & Associates in 2001 and is based in Asheville, North Carolina. In August of 2012, Paul was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and in 2016 he was named President of the firm by the Board of Directors. Paul leads the firm’s corps of Senior Consultants, Senior Associates, providing vision and strategic direction for the firm.
Since joining RHPA, Mr. Doeg has conducted and supported more than 400 of the firm’s presidential and senior administrative search assignments. Paul has completed presidential searches for Antioch University Santa Barbara, Antioch University, Midwest, and Antioch University Seattle, Montana State University (Chancellor), Indiana Institute of Technology, Drury University, McNeese State University, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the University of New Orleans, Nicholls State University and Northwestern State University.
In addition, Paul has supported a number of presidential searches for community and technical colleges, including St. Cloud Community & Technical College, Minnesota State Community & Technical College, South Arkansas Community College, North Country Community College, Northeast Iowa Community College, The Alamo Colleges District, and the College of Southern Maryland.
Paul has led 42 senior administrative engagements in the California State University (CSU) System, including 24 searches for San José State University, since 2010. In addition to his extensive experience serving San José State, he has completed senior administrative assignments for the California State University System campuses in Long Beach, Fullerton, San Bernardino, Stanislaus, Dominguez Hills, Channel Islands and Humboldt.
Earlier in his career, Paul served as treasurer on the board of directors of the Livingston (MT) Humane Society and played an integral role in the management of its endowment as well as in the development of the organization’s strategic plan. He has also provided pro bono recruitment consulting to the Western Sustainability Exchange, an organization committed to promoting sustainable resource stewardship in the West. Paul received his B.A. from the University of Virginia.
