Kevin Cavanagh has been a distinguished leader in the higher education industry for 28 years, serving as the chief enrollment officer at five institutions: Manhattan College, Iona University, The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, The College of New Rochelle, and Bloomfield College. In these roles, he has managed a broad portfolio of administrative divisions, including admissions, financial aid, marketing, information technology, public relations, residential life, athletics, student health and wellness, and international studies.

Kevin’s extensive experience includes serving as the Executive Vice President at The College of New Rochelle and Vice President of Institutional Integration at Bloomfield College, where he led both institutions through successful mergers—New Rochelle with Mercy University and Bloomfield with Montclair State University. His strategic leadership and expertise in institutional viability have made him a sought-after advisor for university boards and presidents.

As a recognized leader in the admission industry, Kevin has been a member of the Executive Board of the New York Association of College Admissions Counseling and an elected State Delegate representing New York at the National Assembly of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling. He has presented at national conferences, including the Council of Independent Colleges and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education’s Annual Meeting, sharing insights on higher education mergers and acquisitions.

In 2014, The Irish Echo named Kevin to its list of 40 under 40 for his contributions to higher education. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and an MBA with a concentration in management, both from Manhattan College, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
